Happy (belated) new year, Reconnecters!

Looking back...

Before we get off and running (and riding and walking) in a new year, we always love to glance back and marvel at what we accomplished together.

Top Ten Things We're Proud of in 2020
Looking forward...

Thanks to all of you who stepped up to make a membership contribution, we have the financial resources to accomplish an ambitious 2021 agenda!

A few plan highlights for the year ahead:  Installing more fiberglass bus stop cubes, producing another exciting edition of Rochester Street Films, giving another intersection a Complete Streets Makeover, continuing to expand bike education and programming, and amping up our advocacy efforts.  Check out all our plans and see where you might plug in!
Next Up: 2021 Plans & Priorities
Looking inward...

A major focus in the first half of 2021 is building a Strategic Plan that will guide our work for the next 3 years. As valued stakeholders, we want to hear from you! Please take 10-12 minutes by Fri Feb 12 and share your feedback to help inform our path ahead.

Actions YOU Can Take!

Reconnect Rochester works day in and day out to advocate for the things we all care about, like a robust public transportation system, streets that are safe for everyone, and a community that's built to be multi-modal. Here's a list of current actions you can take to be part of the effort!

W MAIN STREET REVITALIZATION PROJECT:  Visit the project webpage to get familiar with the "West Main Multi-Modal Transportation & Placemaking Plan", and weigh in with your thoughts by taking the public surveys.

ROUTE 390 MULTI-USE TRAIL RESTORATION:  Attend a Virtual Open House on Wed Feb 10 @ 6pm to get an update and give feedback on this exciting project. RSVP to kbaptiste@bergmannpc.com

REGIONAL PLANNING PROJECT FUNDING:  Genesee Transportation Council is currently taking public input on their 2021-2222 operating plan and budget. Submit comments by Tues Feb 9 expressing your support for active transportation planning projects, aid for RTS, and projects for road, bicycle, pedestrian and rail.

NYS DRIVERS PRE-LICENSING REQUIREMENT:  Contact your NYS Assembly Member to express support for the bill that would require instruction in pedestrian and bicyclist safety as part of the drivers pre-licensing course.

FEDERAL FUNDING FOR PUBLIC TRANSIT:  Sign a petition calling on Congress to fund transit and highways equally.

A mobility-focused lecture brought to you by Community Design Center Rochester

Nidhi Gulati of Projects for Public Spaces in New York City, will be the featured lecture speaker on Wed March 24 from 12:00-1:30 pm on Zoom.
