January Kick-Start

Is it just me or did January feel like it kicked off with a bang, almost like jamming January to April all into one month and still rolling? This month was set out to better prepare behind the scenes, for the year and hopefully handle some of the curve balls with more grace. Well, at least, I need more grace; I’m still growing in how to deal with the unexpected, maybe you can give me some pointers in this regard.
 
I’m excited about the adventures that we are going to have with King Jesus this year, as we have already started with all our regular activities and seeing how hungry the people are for the Word and love of God. We as Kingdom Culture family will start preparation for a 40 day fast to the end of February. Let me know if you want to join in the fast. We would love to place you on a daily WhatsApp broadcast list where you could send you prayer points or encouragements.

I will also continue studying this year, just to sound smart 😊

Christmas Feast for the Homeless

 
This was our third consecutive year that we took a Christmas Feast to the Homeless on the 25th of December 2020. We prepared and cooked the food on the 24th and were ready to love on the people by the 25th. Antoinette felt that God told her to prepare for 350 people. Double the food supplies that we asked for were sponsored and we could already see God’s glory on the day. As the day played out, just over 200 people came through the food lines. God kept asking us: “Why are you here?” “Are you here to minister to people or to me?” So the team got together and started worshipping Him, right there on the streets. Some of the public joined in worship and God’s name was made known in the streets of Pretoria, South Africa. He is the real reason we are working in the streets on a weekly basis.

After packing up, we took the remaining food to the compound where we started building relationship at the end of 2019. At this compound, we found about 150 fathers, mothers and children. They were overwhelmed with joy over the food handed to them.

We are thankful for every donation, volunteer and prayer that was part of this amazing day.
DIVISIONS OPENED
As you can imagine, the lockdown regulations are placing some challenges on our activities, which means we have to flow around them with Holy Spirit, but none the less, the gospel will go out to the nations! 
 
Worship Centre
Because all “religious” gatherings have limitations on at the moment, we have decided to use our Sunday afternoons for street outreaches. We will still gather at the Worship Centre for pre & post briefings but will have to the neighbouring .

We believe that history belongs to those who pray. We have been seeing acceleration the things we have been praying into. We are excited to see what God wants to establish this year.

Princess Park Compound

Feet on the street
Curfew forced us to start earlier than usual and found it works really well. This means that we will meet 18:30 in Church Square for a short pre-briefing, and be done by 20:30 with the post-briefing.

Cell Groups
We see the cell groups as a place for people to become connected to each other, grow, restore  and develop in your personal life. Please speak to Louis (082 777 8327) if you are unsure of where closest fellowship point is.

Church in the Park
We have moved Church in the Park to Wednesday afternoons. We’re excited to see how God will encounter our friends in the park this year. The dynamics are very different from our normal street outreaches, because most of the people work once or twice a week.

40 Day Fast
We will be joining a world wide fast from 1 March – 9 April
For those doing a water or liquid fast, it is advisable to prepare your bodies in advance. I recommend you start preparing at least from the 21st of Feb.
