Join us for a five week course run via Zoom on
Wednesdays from 24th February to 24th March at 8pm - 9.15pm.
Each week we will look at God's wonderful creation, planet Earth, and why it is under threat. We shall settle down with a song on video, listen to thoughts from a panel of speakers, then discuss them in breakout groups.
The topics will be The Environment, Global Warming & Climate Change, The Age of Humans, Facing the Crisis and Faith, Hope & Love. Details of what is covered each week below.

The Course Booklet
We recommend that everyone follows the course booklet, ‘Caring for Creation’, to get the most out of the course. It is available in both printed copy (£3.80) and in digital format (£3.10). Delivery is free, however, please leave extra time to receive your book due to current circumstances. You can order it online here or by emailing Steve Turville to order on your behalf.

The human race is facing its greatest challenge: global warming, leading to climate change.
This, along with the damage we have done, and are still doing to the environment,
God’s wonderful creation, means that we all have to make radical changes
to our whole way of life.

Some facts and figures about climate change, and why faith in a Creator God should give us hope.

~ The Age of Humans ~
The Anthropocene Era: How we human beings with our god-like powers can still undo some of the terrible damage we have done and are doing to our planet.

Wednesday 17th March
~ Coming out of Denial & Facing Crisis ~
Many of us find it hard to face up to the reality of climate change, and make the necessary changes to our lifestyle. We need to understand why this is so, and how our faith can help us.

Wednesday 24th March
~ Faith, Hope & Love ~
We urgently need to be clear about our Christian response to the present crisis: it challenges what we believe; it is also about how we can live in hope, and meet the demands of Christian love.
