Dear Friends and Fellow Republicans
Earlier this week, Never Trumper and faux conservative Mona Charen wrote an Op-Ed piece about how proud she was still of her vote for Joe Biden. In this propaganda piece, Ms. Charen states that Mr. Biden "will not pursue a policy agenda she agrees with most of the time", but goes on to say that we "nearly lost our democracy" because of Trump.
Ms. Charen, and most of the K Street lobbying class, are in deep denial about who we are, and who they themselves are. We the People are everyday average ordinary people. Some of us are waitresses, some are checkout clerks, some are stay at home moms, some of us are tech people, some of us are retired, some of us are business owners, etc etc - the list goes on. But each of us are people who saw many years ago that something was wrong with this country - it started during the Bush 41 years, accelerated under Bill Clinton, accelerated even more under Bush 43, and went into overdrive under Obama.
Trump, as he said in his convention speech in 2016, was "Our Voice" and we fell in love with him because of this. Trump was not a perfect voice, and Trump had some personality flaws. But Trump had the guts that so very few have, to take on the K Street Lobbying class, the monied powers that are ruining our country, and Trump spoke truth to power on our behalf. For that Trump was lied about, demonized, spied on, and impeached on the most surreal charges ever brought against a sitting President.
Tucker Carlson said it brilliantly in 2016, that he lives in Georgetown with the "K Street Establishment Class" and that this class of people is at war with the American people, and they care not about what happens to any of us, as long as they benefit.
Donald Trump was the most open accessible president the modern media ever had and they thanked him for being so open by lying about him at every chance they could.
Trump tried to give us back the vision of the Founding Fathers, and the K Street fatcats along with their enablers in the Media Elite could not handle that, because they do not care if this country succeeds, just so long as they get richer. Forgetting the morality of what I just said above, if the Country as a whole does not do well, and we lose our morality, sooner or later everything must go down, and this includes the self appointed Elites themselves. So the K Street Lobbyists and Media Elites only harmed themselves long term by going after Trump - and indirectly, going after us.
So the honest statement really is: We are losing our democracy because of the monied interests which Ms. Charen represents, and it was Donald Trump and We the People who are trying to save our Republic.

In Other Business
In Washington DC, H. R. 127 was introduced in January 2021, this bill would require a tax on each gun every American owns. It also requires psych evaluations to own a gun. Sadly enough, this bill has a real chance of passing the House. And oddly enough, there are no psych evaluations to be a Member of Congress. HMMMMMM. Don't believe me? Here's the legislation below.

On the Local Front
In their never ending attempt to show how un-Democratic the Democratic Party in Virginia now is, the State Senate has passed a bill (SB 1157) which would forcibly move all May Town and City elections to November. This is a horrible idea, as the legislators in Chesapeake Va who wrote this monstrosity have 0 idea what happens in CD 6 and surrounding areas.
As a Member of the Strasburg Town Council, I wrote a resolution about this bill, which was passed unanimously at our Monday meeting. This will affect each of you in Staunton, Lynchburg, Woodstock, Mount Jackson, New Market, Toms Brook, and Waynesboro.

And last but not least, The Liberty College Republicans and elements of the 6th Congressional District will be doing at least 2 candidate forums in March of 2021. The Gubernatorial forum will be on Monday March 1, 7 PM, at Liberty U. The Lt. Gov will be on March 29, 7 PM. Both will be at room 1286 of the De Moss Hall. The Liberty CR's will be providing the moderators. CD 6 will be providing the social media marketing.
