Dear Supporters,

We haven’t been in touch lately but please watch for more updates in the near future. Apex showed up knocking on doors looking for lease signers as early as 2013! Supervisors Simon and Dewart recently sent another letter to Apex President and CEO, Mark Goodwin, telling him that it’s time to cancel the Lighthouse Wind Project. (See letter below.) Thank you, supervisors, for once again putting Apex on notice and after seven years of opposition we agree that it’s time that they leave town!

A survey last fall showed that opposition to the project has grown since our last survey was taken 5 years ago. Residents in the towns of Somerset and Yates are tired of this project hanging over our heads. Imagine the photo above of a recent spectacular sunrise ruined by 650 feet tall industrial turbines with blinking red lights and spinning blades. Elimination of the dark skies that so many of us love is just one of the many problems that would be caused by the Lighthouse Wind project

We’ll be back in touch soon to let you know what you can do to help with an upcoming initiative aimed at getting the message across loud and clear: Apex – Go Home!

Stay tuned and thank you for your support.
