Elders Alive! Fat Tuesday Session
February 16
At 1 PM on Zoom
We will be talking about FOOD! Come watch two cooking demonstrations from Pastor Wayne and from Barb Shirrod and be prepared to talk about your favorite most fat/calorie ridden recipes. Here is our biblical motivation from the old King James: Proverbs 28:25b: "... he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat." Oh and don’t forget to wear your Mardi Gras beads if you have them.

Ash Wednesday Worship
February 17
At 6:30 PM
In- Person and Live Streamed
At in-person worship both the distribution of ashes & holy communion will be celebrated in the pews. Individuals are invited to place the ashes on their own foreheads (ashes will be provided).
For those of you remaining at home, you are invited to: 1) provide your own ashes (*mixed with olive oil) from last year’s palms; 2) pick up a pre-made ash/oil mixture at the weekend services (February 13 and 14) preceding Ash Wednesday; 3) light a match, let it cool, then use the burnt match head to mark your forehead; or 4) be creative and make your own ash mixture as you follow along with the live streaming service.
* Don't mix the ashes with water. It can produce lye water – which can be used as a bleaching agent!
Please join us, in person or online, to begin your Lenten journey with Ash Wednesday service.
