Indigenous and Black Engineering and Technology (IBET) Momentum Fellowship
New Fellowship available to support Indigenous and Black PhD students.
The Faculty of Engineering at McMaster University has partnered with five other Ontario universities to release new fellowships to expand the pathways for Indigenous and Black students pursuing doctoral degrees in engineering.
The IBET Momentum Fellowship aims to address the urgent need to encourage and support the pursuit of graduate studies by underrepresented groups.
The Fellowship is valued at up to $25,000 per year for up to four years for doctoral students in the Faculty of Engineering and is available annually.
This initiative is part of the transformative work being undertaken at McMaster University and at the Faculty of Engineering to ensure inclusive excellence in the recruitment and retention of underrepresented faculty and students.
