Photography Curator - Stanford University, Stanford, CA
  • Oversees and manages a collection development program for photographic collections and assists with technical processing for public access. Accountable for managing and performing advanced curatorial and bibliographic functions. Carries out analytical work for significant aspects of the department's photography operations, including registrarial work. Serves as liaison to University faculty and academic programs with photography interests. Plans, initiates, negotiates, and supports acquisitions of significant archives, collections, and individual works of art, through gift and purchase. Evaluates the strategic vision, policy, and priorities for collections work in the photographic collections. Curates exhibitions of photographic materials and creates accompanying promotional materials. Interprets the collections for diverse audiences, including researching and writing on topics for exhibitions and publications. 
Map Library Access Specialist (Library Associate I) - University of Florida, Gainesville, FL
  • Supports initiatives within the Map & Imagery Library that leverage its unique collections, expertise, and role within the University of Florida (UF) to connect with the UF community and strategic partnerships with external intuitions. Sole staff person in the Map & Imagery Library that oversees evening and weekend hours and student assistants working at that time. Manages and optimizes collection growth, preservation, and digitization to support current and future learning, and research and knowledge creation for the Map & Imagery Library monographs and historical map collections. Promotes access to online library resources by streamlining and enhancing discoverability. Oversees physical processing and creates metadata for cartographic materials. Anticipates and effectively responds to needs of students and researchers using Map & Imagery Library collections. Collaborates with the SASC Public Services team to develop and implement best practices and procedures.
Digital Assets Manager (term) - Illinois State Museum Society (ISMS), Springfield, IL
  • Plays a key role in the future of online ISM curated digital experiences and collections data served online. Implements digitization of approximately 8,000 objects in the ethnographic collection. Produces object inventories. Produces research on ethnographic collections and assists research in Anthropology. Photographs objects, scans, or otherwise digitizes supplemental information associated with the ethnographic collection. Assesses object condition, and rehouses objects as necessary. Serves as the lead staff member overseeing the process of data conversion to the new DAMS. Monitors databases and helps to oversee future upgrades. Provides future training for new system users. Provides technical support and advice to Collections Management team.

Archives Intern - Carhartt, Dearborn, MI
  • Assists the Heritage manager in collecting, preserving, and sharing Carhartt's legacy of over 130 years in the workwear industry, providing a distinct opportunity for students interested in garment and textile preservation. Enhances archival and collections metadata. Processes, rehouses, and digitizes physical assets. Conducts research on assigned topics, including iconic garment histories and corporate history. Authors articles for Carhartt's dotcom history page and internal communications. Supports the resident archivist with day-to-day activities like research request fulfillment and preparation of historical content for social media channels. Supports the Heritage Manager with duties related to digitized archival material in the VAULT digital asset management system. 
Curatorial Assistant - The Heckscher Museum of Art, Huntington, NY
  • Assists the Curator and Registrar & Exhibitions Manager in developing and organizing exhibitions and publications, including conducting research, creating exhibition texts, installation and deinstallation, and managing loans. Works with the Registrar & Exhibitions Manager on all aspects of the Long Island Biennial, including processing applications, corresponding with artists, and organizing the jurying process. Develops and implements interpretive exhibition elements and programming through collaboration with other departments. Manages outgoing Rights and Reproductions requests. Assists with administrative duties including grant writing, tracking departmental budgets, processing purchases, and maintaining curatorial files. Creates content for all Museum social media platforms. Develops and updates collections and exhibitions website content. 

Digital Archivist Information Research Specialist 1) - Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, NM
  • Digitizes the Weapons Production's physical collections. Populates metadata and indexing information about the digitized materials. Completes minor maintenance and repairs of scanning equipment, adjusts scanning equipment for various media types and sizes, and performs finishing tasks to preserve original master copies of digital files. Assists the Digital Collections Team Leader and Research Librarians with customer research requests for locating digitized technical information. Assures proper storage and handling of classified information. Contributes to the development and documentation of digitization workflows of archived media. Custodian for the vault-type room and classified matter. 
Digital Metadata Librarian - Bringham Young University, Provo, UT
  • Creates, updates, remediates, transforms, imports, and exports metadata for digital objects and collections residing in various library systems and metadata repositories. Coordinates aggregation of digital content and metadata, including digital object metadata and descriptive records. Maintains and updates metadata application profiles. Creates metadata ingest templates. Performs quality control and quality assessment of metadata describing digital objects. Presents research or innovative/unique information at conferences, workshops, seminars, and/or other professional/scholarly meetings.
Archivist - Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, New York, NY
  • Processes archival materials according to current industry standards, conducts appraisal evaluations, and creates DACS-compliant EAD finding aids and MARC records. Provides reference services for in-house staff and external researchers. Responsible for accession, transfer, storage, and access to inactive records. Tracks records with fixed-term retention and follows destruction procedures for records after retention period is over. Coordinates the digitization of archival materials, ingests preservation master files into the digital repository, creates digital object records, and identifies solution for access files. Maintains archival information management system (ArchivesSpace), digital repositories, and relevant software for long-term preservation of born-digital and digitized archival materials. Collaborates on updating metadata crosswalk between repositories, especially ArchivesSpace, Digital Asset Management System, and Collection Management System (The Museum System). Tracks spending, approves invoices, and manages annual department budget. Seeks funding opportunities, writes grant application narratives, and oversee grant projects.
