Interim Artistic Director

This employment opportunity is designed, in part, to cover the desk of the PAVED Arts Artistic Director during an extended leave of absence, but further to develop new programs and bring an exciting and fresh perspective to the organization. The Interim Artistic Director will oversee the implementation of project(s) to be staged remotely, virtually, and/or in PAVED Arts main gallery space for the period of time of the term of this position.

Beading a QR Code w/ Carrie Allison

*At the request of the artist, this workshop is open to IBPOC participants only*

Please register before March 1 by emailing technical@pavedarts.ca.
This workshop has a limited capacity.

Learn how to follow a beading loom pattern to make a QR code, with a supplied beading kit! In this virtual workshop, participants will learn how to set up a loom and how to start a loom beading.

*Beading kits will be delivered/mailed to participants’ homes in advance of the workshop.

PAVED/AKA Billboard : Call for Submissions

AKA and PAVED Arts are seeking proposals from Saskatchewan-based artists or collectives at various stages of their careers for a billboard project on AKA/PAVED’s shared billboard space. The project will run from July 1st to the end of August 2021

Internet Vernacular // Conspiracies in Isolation

January 22 – February 27, 2021
Virtual Artist Talk: February 12, 7:30pm CST (see below for details)

Internet Vernacular is a collection of digitally-born vernacular photography obtained while rummaging through the online photographic collections of users who haven’t posted in years.

Conspiracies in Isolation is a PAVED-commissioned artist book. This publication will be available online (with a limited number of physical copies available in-person), and is compiled from a series of thoughts and ideas related to conspiracy. 

For in-person visits, please email artistic@pavedarts.ca at least 24-hours in advance to book your viewing. Appointments are available Tues-Fri, between 12 to 6 in half-hour blocks, cap of 5 people. Some of the images from the "Internet Vernacular" project may be disturbing to some people. Viewer and parental discretion is advised.
