Evolution under the microscope (event)


Join us on Friday, February 12, for a special event to celebrate Charles Darwin's birthday. We will discuss adaptations while looking at specimens under the microscope. Virtual one-hour (Zoom) tours begin at 10:00am, 12:00, 2:00, and 4:00pm PST. Open to the public. You must have a valid Zoom account to attend. (https://berkeley.zoom.us/j/95408245666)

KQED Deep Look (event)


From Mites on Drones to Deadly Mushrooms - A Deep Look screening. Join us on Wednesday, February 17, 6:30-7:30pm PST for a special screening of four Deep Look episodes with  the producers and scientists involved with the videos, including the recently released "Silk-Swinging Caterpillars" about California Oak Moth outbreaks in the SF Bay Area.

Essig Museum staff continue to have limited access to the collections. However, we continue to prepare for our return to campus to resume specimen loans, research visits, and outreach and education efforts. Thank you for your patience and support.

Essig Brunch seminar goes virtual in 2020 - Fridays 10:10 - 11:00 am

Essig Brunch is a weekly seminar series run by our graduate students in Arthropod Science featuring local and visiting researchers presenting on a wide range of entomology topics.
