"I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope."

                                       Psalm 130 v 5

While we wait for news of when the current lockdown will be eased, I wanted to let you know about St Andrew's focus for Lent this year and how you can join in.  You'll find the details below as well as a reminder about the Children's service this Sunday at 10am.  To ensure everyone stays as safe as possible we're continuing to be only on zoom at the moment, but look out for more details of plans for our services soon.  We know that God continues to hear our prayers and to accompany us, where ever and when ever we're seeking Him.  The Archbishops of Canterbury and York have also called us to pray for the nation each day, and you can read their thoughts below too.
God bless
Sally

Pray for our parish during Lent
Ash Wednesday is on 17th February this year and we will be holding a zoom service of Penitence and faith at 7.30pm.
St Andrew's focus for Lent, expanding our desire to pray for the streets where we live, is to pray for the parish, area by area in the run up to Easter.

Praying for our nation at 6pm each day
In response to reaching the terrible milestone of 100,000 deaths from COVID-19, the Archbishops invite all to call on God in Prayer. We invite you to set aside time every evening to pray, particularly at 6pm each day. More than ever, this is a time when we need to love each other. Prayer is an expression of love.  You can read their letter here.
If you would like to continue giving to St Andrew's, either a one off donation or regularly, you'll find details here.
