In the Interim

During the month of February, we will be reflecting together on the meaning of Beloved Community.  For the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Beloved Community was an important concept, the aspirational vision of a community that included everyone, that did not discriminate against or exclude people based on race, nationality, class, religion, gender or other difference. This is the year to join in the fun!!

The same wonderful night with a new name - The FPW Variety Show (aka Talent Show) is scheduled this year for Saturday April 10th from 4pm to 6pm. The FPW Band is back in action preparing 3 tunes for our Zoom Variety Show. This is an open call for anyone, young or old, who would like to participate - create a skit, read poetry, sing, dance, tell jokes, do magic tricks, show off your artwork - this is your chance to share your hidden talents with your FPW friends. We can offer help with prerecording or helping with setup if you want to participate in real-time. Please send your ideas, thoughts, questions & concerns to Izzy Td (izzyt@rcn.com) so we can get the show organized.

We want YOU...to stay connected!

If you or someone you know is having any trouble accessing our online offerings (Worship, Fellowship events, RE for children/teens/adults, etc) for any reason, we want to know so that we can help you!

Perhaps your current technology is an obstacle, and you're not sure how to fix it or replace it with something that will work.  Perhaps you could simply use some  assistance learning how to use ZOOM or upgrading your internet service. Maybe your obstacle is a financial one. Or maybe you're simply frustrated with not being able to meet in person...and want to talk.. No matter what the issue is, the church is here to help...just let Rev. Wendy know.(minister@fpwatertown.org).
Tuesday, February 16th, from 7:30 - 9:00pm
The Green Sanctuary Committee will host a discussion led by Rev. Wendy Bell about the book, On Fire: The Burning Case for The Green New Deal and about Environmental Justice.
We hope you have time to read the book, but if not, please review this video interview with Naomi Klein.
