Overnight, Evening Lane closures on I-75 SB for Bridge Repair project
ATLANTA – Work crews for the Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) will install overnight lane closures in the proximity of the I-85/SR 403 interchange. Crews will pace traffic on nearby lanes and ramps. This project will repair a portion of the existing bridge on the I-75 southbound between from State Route 403 and University Avenue.
Weather permitting, these are the scheduled lane closures and traffic pacing operations:
- Four left lanes will be closed on I-75 southbound from State Route 403 (Exit 242) to University Avenue (Exit 244) on Thursday, February 4 from 11:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m. the following morning, Friday, February 5.
These closures will ensure safety for work crews and drivers as workers repair and rehabilitate of the portion off the bridge over I-75 southbound for bridge joint replacement.
Drivers will be alerted of the upcoming traffic impacts by message boards and barricades in advance of approaching the area. As always, motorists traveling in the area are reminded to reduce their speeds in the work zone. Motorists are also encouraged to wear seatbelts, eliminate distractions behind the wheel, and plan their routes before getting on the road by calling 511 for real-time information on work status and traffic conditions.
