In person Activities Resume
With COVID-19 numbers reaching a safer level than the post-Christmas spike in Grant County, FUMC has resumed in-person activities, including worship, Sunday School, and UMY. All safety protocols are in place (mandatory mask-wearing, six-foot social distancing, etc.), and we ask that you reserve a bubble for yourself and your family at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040A4CA4A822A3F58-inperson. Finance Campaign Underway
Estimate of Giving Cards were mailed two weeks ago, and FUMC is accepting those at this time. In addition to providing each family an opportunity to make a commitment to Christ through giving, the results of this campaign help the Finance Committee form the operating budget. Please drop off your card in worship or to the church office M-F 8-noon or mail it to the church (P.O. Box 357, Sheridan 72150). Contact the church office if you need a packet mailed to you.
UMY
The youth are back meeting for Sunday School (11:00 A.M.) and for UMY (usually 5:30-6:30 P.M. Sundays). February 7 is Super Bowl Sunday, and the UMY will meet from 4-5pm.
Souper Bowl Sunday
The youth will be collecting financial donations on Souper Bowl Sunday (in lieu of cans or other food items). Those contributions will go toward FUMC, Sheridan's ongoing ministries to address food insecurity in Grant County, including the Summer Feeding Program and the Backpack Program.
Ash Wednesday
Due to safety reasons because of the COVID-19 pandemic, our usual Ash Wednesday service will instead be an online-only, interactive, experiential worship service on Wednesday, February 17, at 6:30 P.M. Worship packets are available for each family to pick up at the church on Sunday, February 14, or will be delivered on Monday and Tuesday (February 15 and 16).
