Join Sheikh Kumail Rajani for Module 4 of the ICRA Advanced Course this weekend!

Last chance to sign up to this online interactive advanced course on Islamic Sciences, designed to feed your academic appetite.

This weekend's course on History (Shia History) will be delivered by Sheikh Kumail Rajani. Having extensively studied in the seminary of Qum from propaedeutic sciences (al-muqaddimāt) to extra-textual course (dars al-khārij), Sheikh Kumail Rajani is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Exeter. He has taught topics such as tafsīr, ḥadīth, history, theology and fiqh at Al-Mostafa International University, Jamiat al-Zahra and a number of other research institutions of Qum. He teaches Islamic Law and Society in the capacity of a Post-Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Exeter. Though primarily focused on the origins and development of Shīʿī ḥadīth, his research interests extend to Qur’anic exegesis, fiqh, uṣūl, history, and Shiʿi Studies more broadly.⠀

Each course module is made up of three lectures which will take place between 8pm-9pm GMT from Friday to Sunday, on successive weekends.

Le cours d'histoire (histoire chiite) de ce week-end sera donné par Sheikh Kumail Rajani. Ayant largement étudié au séminaire de Qum, des sciences propédeutiques (al-muqaddimāt) au cours extra-textuel (dars al-khārij), Sheikh Kumail Rajani est actuellement doctorant à l'Université d'Exeter. CoEJ Launches the First Online Adult Mental Health First Aider Workshop 

What is Mental Health First Aid?

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised accredited training course (valued at £300 per person).

This course teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. MHFA England training won’t teach you to be a therapist, but just like physical first aid, it will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis.

Weekend 2 of the Youth Mental Health First Aider Course with our Scholars!

Last weekend, the participants of the YMHFA, majority of whom were scholars completed their 4 day online training. 

Some of the feedback received from participants included:

CoEJ SAN Tarbiyah Training Micro Teach

On Sunday 07 February, CoEJ SAN Facilitators held a Micro Teach for teachers who had attended the Tarbiyah Training in January.

Feedback on Module 3 - Fiqh (Jurisprudence)

We loved Module 3 of the ICRA Course on Fiqh (Jurisprudence) that took place last weekend!⠀

Baab ul Ilm Madrasah (Leeds) invite CoEJ facilitators to have a conversation with Madrasah teachers 

Babul Ilm Madrasah of the Leeds Jamaat had a facilitative conversation with its teachers to explore and hear their thoughts. Two CoEJ facilitators joined them on Tuesday 9th February 2021 and exchanged dialogue.
