Walk with us at the Sanford Community Forest

Staff and board members from Three Rivers Land Trust & Mousam Way Land Trust
gather at the proposed site of the Sanford Community Forest
We hope you have had a chance to take a look at the details of our newest conservation project, the Sanford Community Forest, 550 acres of wetlands, forests, and trails, located just three miles from the center of downtown Sanford.

Over the next few months, we will be hosting visits to the forest to share with you our vision for the future, and what this land could be to the city of Sanford and surrounding communities. We hope you will join us for a walk by pre-registering here. Walk dates are on Sundays at 1 PM, February 14, March 14, and April 11.

We need to raise $180,000 by the end of 2021 to bring this project to a successful close. We have already raised $2,750 since announcing the campaign! An opportunity to conserve this many acres so close to a city center is rare - if you'd like to help us shape the Sanford Community Forest into a rich, rewarding, and valuable community resource, we hope you'll consider making a donation today. Thank you!
"When we see land as a community to which we belong,
we may begin to use it with love and respect."
