We Love Lutheran Schools

You did it! In last week's newsletter, I gave you the assignment to like and share at least one post on Facebook. The results were amazing! According to Facebook Analytics, our stats are up by around 1400%! This is important because it tells others about our school and about what the Lord is doing through His people here. In fact, some of our posts were even picked up and shared out by community pages. Well done! Everyone gets an "A+" for last week! This week, I humbly ask for two things:

Assignment One--Do the same thing on social media this week. We need to keep that momentum up!

Assignment Two--Find one friend, family member, co-worker, or neighbor and share with them about CLS. Specifically if they have school-age children!

Of course, I would be remiss if I didn't mention two "assignments" that go without saying: please continue to pray for us all at CLS, that the Lord would guide our ministry, and please remember to complete your own re-enrollment packet. If you need help or have any questions, I'm more than happy to help out.

God bless your weekend!
Mr. Weber

The Lutheran School Partnership - Teacher of the Year

The Lutheran Schools Partnership desires to support and encourage the teachers in our schools. One way we do that is through the TLSP Educator of the Year (TLSPEY) Award, and 2021 nominations are now open. Nominations must be for current teachers in a TLSP school, and may be submitted by a parent of a current student in the school where the teacher is employed, or by a colleague. Please see all the details in the TLSPEY Nomination Form

February Building Campaign Update

Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
To God be the Glory! The campaign and Central Lutheran have been so blessed with contributions this past month. A $100,000.00 principal payment was able to be made, reducing the outstanding balance remaining on the loan to $1,469,948. The construction loan will come due this September.
Presentations on the “Bridge the Gap” campaign will be held at each of the three association churches over the next month. The 1st presentation will be held at St. Paul on Sunday 2/7 at 9:30 AM in the fellowship hall followed by presentations at Emanuel and Martini later in February. Please check the newsletter at your church for details.
Please prayerfully consider contributing to the campaign and please open your hearts and minds to those on the committee who may be calling on you very soon to discuss the project and needs of Central Lutheran School.

Bi-Annual Association Meeting

Please plan to attend Central's Bi-Annual Association Meeting on Sunday, February 28, at 1:30pm! We will meet at Central in the gym and will also be offering a virtual option.

SPOTLIGHT ON

Mrs. G + Kindergarten Prep

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9

Mrs. Katie Guenthner, who has been at Central for five years, teaches in our Preschool program and is the lead teacher in our Kindergarten Prep class. The thing that she enjoys most about teaching is the opportunity she has to share Jesus with her students, "I love teaching the preschoolers that Jesus loves them. There are many kids that come to [Central] in the preschool that have not learned about Jesus. I get to teach them all about Jesus through stories and songs. I love hearing them sing those songs throughout the day. I enjoy getting to know each child and sharing just how special they are."

FUN FACTS:
Her favorite school lunch at CLS is Chicken Nuggets and she is a huge University of Michigan fan. GO BLUE!
Katie grew up in Tennessee where she attended Northfield Elementary.
Her favorite books growing up? The Babysitters Club
The Kindy Prep Cubs program is designed for our younger five year olds that will benefit from another year in preschool before beginning Kindergarten. So much happens in this classroom every day!
