The book talks about learning, the learning organizations, and the systems.
We invest in feedback loops, and research-driven-evidence-based design processes. However, a majority of the startups use the evidence to design the products and not the systems.
Systems thinking might sound like a long-term vision without the operational velocity. It is not true. I have experienced it personally in the recent years that they tend to ignore the wider perspective of what might impact their business, people, and workflow in the future because the system does not show up clearly in their dashboards. And every time, it comes back to bother them later.
Outcome is not a carnival or a festival and so there are no freebies, no parties, no goodies, or no dinner hours. It is a one-day conference as a serious business. When we discuss design, and products, and systems, it is meant to be a serious business.
