1. March for Life 2021

(MarchForLife) - The protection of all of those who participate in the annual March, as well as the many law enforcement personnel and others who work tirelessly each year to ensure a safe and peaceful event, is a top priority of the March for Life. In light of the fact that we are in the midst of a pandemic which may be peaking, and in view of the heightened pressures that law enforcement officers and others are currently facing in and around the Capitol, this year’s March for Life will look different.

The annual rally will take place virtually and we are asking all participants to stay home and to join the March virtually. We will invite a small group of pro-life leaders from across the country to march in Washington, DC this year. These leaders will represent pro-life Americans everywhere who, each in their own unique ways, work to make abortion unthinkable and build a culture where every human life is valued and protected. MORE

2. US bishops urge Biden to reject abortion rights after 'deeply disturbing' statement
(CNA).- President Joe Biden’s statement backing legal abortion on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade drew swift reaction from the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, whose pro-life chairman said the no president of the United States should ever defend denying the right to life of unborn children. “We strongly urge the president to reject abortion and promote life-affirming aid to women and communities in need,” the U.S. bishops’ Committee on Pro-Life Activities head Archbishop Joseph Naumann of Kansas City in Kansas said Jan. 22. “It is deeply disturbing and tragic that any president would praise and commit to codifying a Supreme Court ruling that denies unborn children their most basic human and civil right, the right to life under the euphemistic disguise of a health service,” he said. 3. New Poll Shows Majority of Americans are Pro-Life, Oppose All or Most Abortions
(LifeNews) - A new nationwide poll conducted by the respected Marist College polling firm finds a majority of Americans are pro-life and oppose all or virtually all abortions that take place in America today. The January 11-13 poll was conducted just days before the United States marked 48 years of legalized abortion, under which more than 62 million unborn babies have been killed. And the survey is consistent with other polls such as Gallup’s poll last year, that showed a majority of Americans take one of three pro-life positions opposing all or most abortions. When asked, 51% of Americans take a pro-life position with 12% of Americans say abortion should never be permitted under any circumstance, 11% of Americans say abortions should only be permitted to save the life of the mother and 28% of Americans take a pro-life position opposing 98% of abortions except in cases of rape or incest or if necessary to save the life of the mother. On the pro-abortion side, just 15% of Americans agreed with Joe Biden and Planned Parenthood’s position that abortion should be available any time during her entire pregnancy. MORE

4. UN: Disability is not a reason to sanction euthanasia
(EPC) - United Nations experts published a press release yesterday expressing alarm at a growing trend of nations enacting legislation enabling access to medically assisted dying based largely on having a disability or disabling conditions, including old age (Link to the Press Release). The timing of this statement should cause the Canadian government to rewrite Bill C-7, which expands Canada's euthanasia law by eliminating the terminal illness requirement and permitting euthanasia for people with chronic or conditions related to disability. In April 2019, the UN Special Rapporteur on the rights of persons with disabilities expressed concern about Canada's euthanasia law (Link).  In March 2020, the UN Special Rapporteur on the rights of persons with disabilities expressed concern about the world wide growth of euthanasia, assisted suicide and eugenics (Link). 5. Abortion activists removed by police while disrupting Respect Life Mass in Ohio
(LveAction) - St. Joseph Cathedral in Columbus, Ohio, was hosting a Respect Life Mass on Friday when a group of eight abortion activists barged in to the sanctuary, shouting and holding pro-abortion posters. They eventually had to be forcibly removed from the church by police, who were called by parishioners. The Mass was being livestreamed on YouTube, and protesters could be heard shouting pro-abortion slogans, such as, “Two, four, six, eight, this church teaches hate!” Their posters called for taxpayer-funded abortion. At least two people were wearing rainbow-striped abortion facility escort vests. Bishop Edward Malesic from the Diocese of Cleveland was there as a concelebrant for the Mass, which took place on the 48th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. MORE

  • video games popular with kids,
  • an organized, massive porn industry and
  • porn sites masquerading as sexual wellness centers.

8 Hopeful Signs for the Pro-Life Movement in 2021
(NCRegister) - The pro-life movement has been marked by deep hope throughout its entire existence. The Current Covid Vaccines Are Problematic But Permissible

The hard cases: Is being ‘pro-life with exceptions’ actually pro-life?
(LiveAction) - Many people who consider themselves pro-life, from political leaders to “average Joes,” hold to a “pro-life with exceptions” position. But in truth, this position is untenable, because it holds that there are certain human beings who are acceptable to kill  under certain circumstances. MORE

Insuring Rights for “Wrong” Bodies
(PublicDiscourse) - As a recent British court decision correctly affirmed, the puberty blocking treatments being given to gender-dysphoric young people constitute experimental medicine. To Honor Women, Don't Erase Us
(IFStudies) - Representative Emanuel Cleaver’s (D-Mo.) now infamous “amen” and “awoman” prayer on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives gave birth to a great many memes. After much derision from those who pointed out that “amen” is derived from the Hebrew word for “truth” and is in no way a gendered word, Rep. Cleaver tried to play it off as a “lighthearted pun”… MORE
