Its a Balancing Act
Parenting through the pandemic can feel like a tricky game - balancing work, online school and life in general. Even worse, everyone is in the house, all of the time.
At Eagles Nest we know parenting is hard at the best of times. According to Statistics Canada*, 61% of parents are very or extremely concerned with managing their children's behaviour, stress levels, anxiety and emotions during the pandemic.
At Eagles Nest we come alongside parents and kids and help navigate family life. This winter our Positive Parenting class at the HOPE Centre was quickly filled. One of our past participants in the class said,
(I felt like I was) being given the secret formula that would help understand and fix so many challenges that our family was facing at the moment. The course has been such tremendous support and I still remember and apply the new skills gained during the course in every day life and any time when we face new challenges with parenting.
Family life can be tough but we know with a bit of support and a some tools, it might be a bit less frustrating and a bit more fabulous.

Coldest Night of the Year!

It's our biggest fundraiser of the year and we need you more than ever!
We get 40% of the funds we need to operate from our thrift store, Rescued & Restored. Unfortunately the store has been closed since mid-December when Hamilton was placed in lockdown. The funds from Coldest Night of the Year will help us make up for the loss of this revenue.

Will you walk and help us raise funds for families that need support in the pandemic?
This year the walk is done "virtually" with everyone walking in their own neighbourhood, on a route of their own choosing and with members of their own household. There is no minimum amount to raise.
