Brrr… things are chilly across Alberta this week. Which means virtual attendance is ideal! We have a variety of at-home (on zoom) retreats and programs coming up. This has been an exciting year of developing new ways to connect as our Kuriakos Community and we’d be thrilled to see you (and your congregation members) at an event this spring. All programs are offered free of charge, with a suggested donation of $50 to Kuriakos.

Youth Retreat-at-Home - March 12-13

• Ages 12-18
• Worship and activities by camp staff
• Bible Study with Darin Felstrom  (E.D. at our sister camp, Kinasao, in SK)
• Free to attend! Suggested $50 donation to Kuriakos or Kinasao.

Spring Bible Studies - on Zoom

• 9am on Thursday mornings, or sign up to receive the recording
• We have arranged for fantastic guest speakers!
  • Lent - Lenten Poetry with Rev. Sean Bell (Luther College, Regina), and colleagues from Campus Ministry
  • April - Baptismal Living with Rev. Dr. Thom Johnson (California). He was our speaker at Retreat of Our Own in 2018.
  • May - Awe & Compassion with Rev. Daranne Harris (Calgary). She will be sharing some of her doctoral research.
• Free to attend! Suggested $50 donation to Kuriakos per session.

Kuriakos Gathers Together - April 24, online

• Online program will be on April 24
  • “Dress Code” and dinner recipes will be sent ahead of time
  • Join in the chat on YouTube, send pictures, and be a part of the fun
• We would appreciate donations of items or experiences for the Live and Silent auctions.
• Can’t attend? You can still bid in the Auction! The auction will run April 14-24

91st Anniversary

• Celebrate 91 Years with us at Thanksgiving 2021
• Mini celebrations each week all summer

Program Mail-Out

• Summer marketing materials (poster, postcard/slide) are in the SHOUT OUT folder.
• Physical copies are available. Please consider enclosing a postcard in each Sunday bulletin. Let us know how many to send to your congregation.

Association Membership and AGM - on Zoom

• Membership is open to all Lutheran and Anglican Congregations in Alberta
• The AGM of Sylvan Lake Lutheran Bible Camp Association will be March 27, 2021 at 2:30pm.
• All member congregations are encouraged to attend. Others are also welcome.
• Congregations can join or renew online or using a paper form.
• The REPORT TO CONGREGATIONS is available online for inclusion in your congregation’s annual report.
