Prayer for our youth attending DCYC
Tomorrow is DCYC 2021. Please pray for our young people and their chaperones as they gather for DCYC at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock. May our young church be surrounded by the love of God as they come together to learn more about the Lord and his loving presence in their lives.

Special collection

The Catholic Higher Education special collection will be taken up Feb. 13-14 in all parishes in the diocese. This collection supports campus ministries in our diocese, including at the University of Texas, Texas A&M University, Baylor University, Texas State University, Mary Hardin-Baylor, St. Edward’s University and other smaller college campuses. Please be generous in your support of this most worthy cause. Click here for more information.

Pastoral musicians

Join NPM Austin and the Diocese of Austin, as they welcome composer, producer and recording artist W. Clifford Petty for a webinar on the healing power of music. “Plenty Good Room” will be offered Feb. 13 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. As we seek to encounter others by building bridges, join us as we explore how the music, culture and history of the Black apostolate has helped to heal the wounds of our broken society. This webinar is an opportunity to bring about healing in the midst of these times of social unrest and the coronavirus pandemic. Visit the NPM Austin site for registration, which is $20 person. Please register by Feb. 10 (seating is limited). For more information, contact Andrea Ramos or call (512) 949-2448.

Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM)

The pandemic in no way lessens the sacred obligation of those who serve in ministry, both virtual and in-person, to make the Church safe for all.  Online EIM Training [En Español] is available for all persons who are due to update/renew their EIM compliance. New employees and new volunteers currently active in ministry should contact their parish/school EIM site administrator regarding the availability of an EIM Workshop at their site.

Catholic Services Appeal (CSA)

The Catholic Services Appeal hit a milestone 11 weeks into the appeal -- reaching $5 million pledged and $3.6 million paid. These strong results position us 26% ahead in pledged amount and 39% ahead in paid amount year-over-year. Our goal of raising $5.8 million is now clearly in sight. Thank you to all who have donated for your generosity!
