Feedback on the Qur'anic Sciences Module

What a wonderful first module to the CoEJ ICRA Advanced Course last weekend! Qur'anic Sciences by Sheikh Nuru Mohamed was overbooked, energetic, interactive, and got some great feedback.

Many thanks to Sheikh Nuru for kicking off this course with a brilliant three days, and a special thank you to our 33 lovely participants for their enriching contributions!

Some of the feedback received was:

"I learned a lot especially regarding what our Ulema said about the compilation of the Quran."

"Excellent. COEJ is moving this in the right direction. Lot of "youth" want to learn more but don't have time to go Hawza. Need easy access and a safe area to ask questions!"

"Excellent lecturer. Great energy, great way of keeping attention. I'm a big fan of Sheikh Nuru!"

The next module in this course is Usool Al Fiqh (Islamic Legal Theory) by Sheikh Ayub Rashid from 29 January to 31 January 2021 - for details and registration click here.

The Second Online Tarbiyah Training

On 24 January 2021, CoEJ  held its second ever online Tarbiyah Training for new teachers at Madaris falling under the CoEJ Spiritual Academies Network (SAN). The goal this time was a bit more ambitious as we took on the challenge to train double the number of teachers we trained in November 2020 - a whopping 43 teachers!

Alhamdulillah the training was a massive success. We would like to thank our facilitators ( Fatim Panjwani, Shabniz Kaba, Shahid Ladha, Rubab Ladha and Mariam Hassam ) for delivered fantastic training.

Congratulations to all our newly trained teachers - may Allah bless you infinitely and grant you every success with this new skill! All teachers will be going through a micro teach session to put the training into practice.

Some of the feedback received was:

"I learnt about some interactive tools I could use like wordwall.net. How to be mindful of integrating various subjects in the lesson. How to understand the learners style of learning and mould the lesson to suit the style.."

"To plan my lessons with an integrated and learner centred approach and to teach 1 concept well is better than trying to get through 3 concepts in a rush on the same event."

"The lesson was very interactive. Time just flew by.."

"Really enjoyed listening to the excellent facilitators."

Understanding Self in a Marriage Context

Unlock the Potential of your Marriage

(Last few days to book)

We usually invest in our Health and Education, but do we invest in one of our most important relationships: Marriage?

This course will help you explore and understand your personality and to look at other personalities as well. Day two will be about looking at strengths and challenges of both your personalities  with the objective to create more awareness in your marriage, and to explore what these preferences may look like up close.

The theory is based on temperament and type, which is the model followed in courses such as the Neuro-Psychology of Learning (NPL) and the Leadership Development Programme (LDP).The main difference being Day two is about what this means in the context of marriage.

The theory may be one you have previously visited but take this opportunity to look at it closely again and together invest in your marriage by discovering preferences such as  "What motivates you, what engages you" reflect on them together ..
