Valentine's Day
SLC is striving to approach Holidays through an anti-bias lens. Ultimately this means our focus is on learning about how our SLC families celebrate different holidays, as opposed to celebrating them here at school. In lieu of exchanging Valentine's inside our classrooms, we will focus on celebrating family diversity, friendship and acts of kindness. This NAEYC article does a nice job outlining how celebrating holidays in a school setting can pose some challenges.
