Bus stop upgrades, curb work, and demolition and paving activities continue throughout the corridor Construction started in June 2020 and is expected to continue through 2022.

Pedestrian detours during construction For people walking on the corridor, please look for “Sidewalk Closed” signs and pedestrian detour routes as posted along the corridor. These signs are in place for your safety as we work to upgrade sidewalks along the corridor.

New traffic patterns in Zone B coming soon
We are currently finishing up roadway paving on the west side of Delridge Way SW in Zone B. Once the roadway and curbs have been formed, poured, and cured we will shift traffic to this side. People traveling through this area are encouraged to practice caution as they navigate our work zones.
Work happening this week and next week For all work described below, residents and businesses will be notified in advance of any anticipated impacts. Dates for construction activities scheduled are subject to change depending upon weather.
Curb ramps and sidewalks to be installed throughout Zone A for the next few weeks
People walking wishing to cross at SW Oregon St via the pedestrian bridge are encouraged to cross at SW Genesee St or SW Alaska St during sidewalk installation

We are currently planning electrical and concrete work at the southbound bus stop at SW Genesee St
Electrical upgrades at the SW Andover St bus stop continue

Paving between Puget Blvd SW and SW Brandon St continues next week
Paving continues into next as crews repair damaged roadway panels
Access to businesses will be maintained during this work. Only one driveway at businesses will be impacted at any given time.
Paving between SW Brandon St to SW Findlay St begins this week
Watermain installation and upgrades near SW Juneau St to continue through February
We will continue working between SW Findlay St and SW Graham St for several weeks. We will also upgrade and connect pipes on SW Juneau St on both sides of Delridge Way SW.
Curb installation continues throughout Zone B
As roadway paving is completed on each block, we will return to form and pour curbs throughout Zone B
This work has started and will continue for several weeks. Driveways will not be impacted as a result of this work.
Please follow posted pedestrian detours and sidewalk closure signs as we complete this work

What to expect during paving and construction
Work hours are typically between 7 AM and 7 PM but can last until 10 PM without a noise variance
You may experience temporary access restrictions in and out of driveways on Delridge Way SW during active demolition
Loud hammering, dust, and vibrations
During active demolition, onsite crews will be able to provide access to emergency vehicles of for people leaving their homes for emergencies
If you need your car in a timely manner, we recommend parking on side streets. Otherwise, please be prepared for delays and plan to connect with crews onsite to coordinate access.
Steel plates or a gravel ramp will be placed to provide access to the driveways outside of active work hours
Up to one week of driveway restrictions as concrete cures directly in front of your property. We will deliver notices to any properties with this impact.

As part of this project, we will be upgrading the roadway throughout the corridor. The road above has recently been demolished. During demolition, access to driveways will be maintained via steel plates or gravel ramps.

At the City of Seattle, we are continuing to follow guidance from federal, state, and local leaders and our public health partners regarding COVID-19. To keep our crews and the public safe, we have required all contractors to submit updated jobsite Health and Safety Plans to ensure that they comply with the safety and social distancing requirements in the Governor’s Order.
