Vertical Access [WEBINAR]

A key component of accessibility is vertical access between changes in level along accessible routes. This session will explain where vertical access is required (or exempted) in the ADA and the ABA Accessibility Standards and how it can be achieved. Presenters will review requirements in the standards for ramps, curb ramps, elevators, and platform lifts, as well as clarify common sources of confusion when providing vertical access.

New Rules: Service Animals and the Air Carriers Access Act (ACAA) [WEBINAR]

On December 10, 2020, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) issued a final rule to amend the Department’s Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA) regulation on the transport of service animals by air carriers. The effective date for this rule is January 11th, 2021. Join us as our speaker provides details on the new rule.

Know Your Rights and Responsibilities: Disability Issues in Employment [WEBINAR]

The New England ADA Center and the Disability Law Center are hosting a free webinar on disability issues in employment. During this training, attorneys from the Disability Law Center will discuss the rights of employees and obligations for employers set out in federal and state laws. Other topics are reasonable accommodation, the interactive process, disclosing a disability, FMLA, leave, and remedies for alleged discrimination.
