Staying COVID Safe

An important reminder for all patrolling members to continue our COVID safe patrolling practices through the COVID pandemic. It is great to see the use of sanitising sprayers and wipes. A gentle reminder to don PPE whenever treating a patient no matter the severity of the treatment. Masks, gloves, hand sanitiser have all been supplied on patrol. Please ensure you don PPE when treating someone, keep to 5 people under the tent, and let's all work together and continue keeping Bilgola Beach a safe place for all our patrolling members.

Long Weekend thank you!
You may have received this note of thanks from SLSA over the past few days. In case you didn't please read on. Sydney experienced a dramatic increase in temperatures and people visiting the beaches. There was a lot of anticipation for challenging scenarios with a high number of rescues being performed. Thank you to Bilgola patrols and those who volunteered where extra support was needed over the past week.

News from SLSNSW - Surf Lifesavers thanked For Australia Day Rescues Volunteer surf lifesavers that patrolled NSW beaches over the past four days of heatwave conditions and Australia Day celebrations have been praised for keeping beachgoers safe during one of the busiest weekends on the coastline on record.
There were over 387,000 visitors to patrolled NSW beaches on Australia Day and volunteer surf lifesavers along the NSW coastline performed over 346 rescues. This is more than triple the rescues performed on Australia Day last year. They also performed over 12,000 preventative actions, keeping beachgoers safe.

Bilgola Swim POP this in your Diary
Reminder 18th April

We have had to postpone the Swim from Sunday 17th January to Sunday 18th April. It will be the last Swim for the 2020-21 Sydney Swim Season – probably a season we might all want to forget – but let’s go out with a celebration that the pandemic might have affected us but it will not change us as a club.
Please look out for requests in this Newsletter or contact me if you would like to help on this important Club event.

Latest property news from our Sponsor Ray White Prestige - Palm Beach...

Ray White Now | January Edition

In general terms, when supply is low and demand is high, these conditions are favourable for sellers. Conversely, when supply is high and demand is low, these conditions are favourable for buyers. So what are we seeing now?

New listing authorities over the past 28 days are down by 4.7 per cent compared to this time last year. This clearly shows less new listings came to the market over the holiday period. This is favourable for those looking to sell now.
