Position Statement on Cycling and Walking Infrastructure

Len has produced an initial consultation document to consider the direction of the BPF Position Statement on Cycling and Walking Infrastructure which we said we would produce after discussions about our Vision.

This is a consultation for Bristol Park Forum members, to inform an 2nd much wider
consultation on the direction of a position statement.

Len will be talking more about this at the meeting – the document can be seen at www.bristolparksforum.org.uk/BPFCyclingWalkingConsultationFeb2021.pdf

There are a number of feedback questions within the document, please respond with any comments by 28th February 2021 to info@bristolparksforum.org.uk

Area Committee Funding 2021/22 - the process starts now

Message from BCC Neighbourhoods & Communities, Community Resources Team:
The timetable for the 2021 Area Committee decision-making process on Bristol CIL and Section 106 funding is now published.

You can access all the information – and signpost people in your communities – at: www.bristol.gov.uk/people-communities/funding-local-projects .

The timetable and the Stage 1 Outline Guidance and an Outline Proposal form can be downloaded from the above webpage.

Information video:
An information video with closed captions is also available on the webpage. This can be viewed here. The aim of this is to ensure the information can be viewed at a convenient time to anyone wishing to access it, and offers the same content as would usually be provided at the in-person sessions.

Key deadlines:
We are asking organisations and communities and Council departments to put forward proposals for potential projects for the Area Committee to consider by mid-March.

Ward councillors will make sure the outline proposal forms (stage 1) are completed, ask for more information if required and then confirm their ‘in principle’ support for the idea and submit it.

The deadline for final outline proposal forms (agreed in principle with ward councillors) is the 5th April 2021.

Details of the next stages can be found on the webpage (as above).
