A statement from TELUS said their sizable lot located behind its central office on Fitzwilliam St. presented an opportunity to better serve the community. “The development represents a potential $70 million investment by TELUS in the community, which will create approximately 700 jobs throughout construction over three years.”

Duncan Manor Looks to Rebuild and Make Big Expansion
Cheryl Jones, chairwoman of the the non-profit Duncan Housing Society, said “We’re hoping to have 300 units when the renewal project is complete. We expect we’ll hear whether we will receive the funding by April or May and if we do, we hope to have construction of the first phase started in early 2022.”

Don’t confuse passion with perfect. No job is perfect; people miss opportunities all the time because the options aren’t perfect. As Thomas Edison appropriately quipped, “Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”  We all have to do a variety of tasks on a regular basis, both personally and professionally, that we dislike. Your job is to understand what your ideal split of enjoyable work versus unenjoyable work is (e.g., a 90/10 split or an 80/20 split, etc.).
