Annual Assessments Are Past Due
The grace period for assessments due Jan 1st, ends Jan. 31st. Assessments not paid in full by the 31st will be subject to interest and late fees on Monday, Feb. 1st. Owners may pay assessments online with their account number by e-check (free) or credit/debit card (vendor's fees apply). For account information or other questions, contact Amanda Burkett and be sure to identify yourself as a Settlers Park HOA owner.
Just a reminder that deed restriction violations will now result in fines being assessed to owners. Take time this spring to look over the exterior of your home and lawns to see what needs to be improved. Remember that ALL changes to the exterior (including replacement of fencing, paint, roofing, etc even if replaced with the same colors/materials) must be submitted for approval. Many colors previously used (black, reds, blues) are no longer approved colors for our community. City CIP Funding Approval
Our 2020 application to the City of Sugar Land requesting Capital Improvement Funding for the building of the first phase of a brick wall along Settlers Way Blvd. has been approved as part of a joint 2020/2021 award. We've received their maximum award of $75,000 which will be supplemented by our own association reserve funds. Our manager Christi Keller will be working with the city and our board to facilitate the project. We are currently awaiting information from the city on their program requirements before setting a start time for the project. Future phases will complete the wall on Settlers Way and along Austin Parkway. Those will be slated for application for additional CIP funds in subsequent years.
Our board of directors and officers wishes to extend our deepest and most sincere condolences to fellow director Diane Decker on the loss of Mike, her husband of 31 years in late December. Diane and her 4 adult children continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.
