Welcome back to 6 Notes on Sunday! 

This Week's Workout Sounds -- 

This week's workout playlist is a good ol' Spotify-made playlist for Workouts 2021.  

This week's workout podcast talks about excuses and what it means to make excuses that inhibit you from your goals. It's only ~6 minutes long, but hypes us up during warm ups for a field workout or lift. 

New Community Info -- 

We have a few very interesting reads to share today! This week's theme is BREATHING.

First, we have a very informational video on cueing and breathing and how what we cue and when we cue it can be huge in our training and performance. Dan Pfaff is a world-renown coach of Olympic Medalists and World Games teams. 

Second, we have an article about the importance of breathing and having a ritual of breathing when you wake up in the morning. 

This Week's Goals:

This segment of 6 Notes will introduce five goals to you, weekly. You can focus only on one, you could focus on all five, or you can mix and match each week to fit your needs and desires. These could also just be little things you keep in your back pocket as you navigate your world this week. Your choice! 

  1. Push your limits on at least one lift/field workout.
  2. Meditate for 10 minutes on at least three out of the seven mornings of this week. 
  3. Text a parent, friend, or family member that you love them. 
  4. Do 30 minutes of self care before you go to bed every night. 
  5. Finish a book that you're reading or start a new book.

NEWS in Ultimate Land 

This segment is just for information that's been working through the Ultimate community!

  • VC Ultimate and Kellan Gibboney co-created a new line of VC Ultimate gear revolving around Pronouns. Such an important thing to reflect on and change behavior around, and the swag is pretty awesome. Check it out here!
  • Molly Brown, a womxn's elite club team out of Colorado, USA, changed the way they went about their virtual 2020 club season and reallocated their funds to social justice causes. Check out how much they raised, why they chose to do their club seasons that way, and where the money ended up here

HYPE HYPE HYPE --

The #HYPE of the week! We're going to include lifting videos, highlight videos, Callahan videos, and more! 

This week's hype video is a Callahan video for the books. Jesse Shofner, one of the most profound and well-known Ultimate players of the 2010s-'20s, played for Oregon Fugue in Oregon, USA, and was a finalist for the Callahan Award in 2016. This video is absolutely unreal.
