A PRAYER FOR SAFETY FOR OUR NATION
AND LEADERS

God of love and peace, watch over our nation in these troubled days. Calm the anger of those who would do harm; restrain extremists planning violent uprisings; give courage to those in our national capital and state capitals charged with keeping the peace; protect our President, Joseph, and Vice President, Kamala, and in the days to come give them, the members of their administration and the Congress wisdom in leading our nation toward a new era of justice and peace, through Jesus Christ our Lord, the light of the world and the prince of peace. Amen.

SERVICE AND ADVOCACY
IN COMMUNITY AND WORLD
SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES IN THIS TIME OF PANDEMIC
Even while sheltering at home, we can continue to serve the community around us by helping organizations helping others: Food Banks, Homeless Shelters, Blood Banks, Animal Shelters. Donations and volunteers for various tasks (such as fostering a homeless pet in your home) are needed. Contact any service provider first by phone or website for guidance on the best ways to help and donate.

LOCAL FOOD BANKS NEED OUR HELP - There is unprecedented need for food among our neighbors due to the economic impact of the pandemic. Food Banks are stretched to the limit. Can you make a contribution to Emergency Food Network (which distributes food to food banks), or to Nourish Food Banks of Pierce County? Click on the links to donate.

CHRIST CHURCH LITTLE FREE FOOD PANTRY UPDATE
Our Little Free Pantry has been in operation for two months. Based on the consumption of items, our pantry is helping meet the needs of our local community. We are seeing items being added to the pantry by parishioners and by folks in our neighborhood as we hoped. Much thanks to Barbara Williams and Hank Davis who served as pantry managers since its installation, checking on the need for resupply, acquiring supplies, and refilling as needed. Jim Limerick is now taking on the pantry manager role. Thanks Jim!
Non-perishable foods only: Bottles of water; Pouches or boxes of juice; Individual tubs of fruits, vegetables; Tab-top cans of pastas, meats, fruits, vegetables; Peanut butter, Nutella.
For pets, Tab-top canned dog and cat food
If the pantry is quite full when you arrive, put in as many supplies as will fit and save the rest for a return visit.
