Check it Out: February 2021
Curry County moved to Low Risk for Covid-19 on January 29, 2020. The library will be open Monday - Saturday 10am-6pm starting Monday, February 1st.

Meeting rooms are still closed, and all events will
remain virtual or take-home for the time being.

The Friends of the Library Bookstore is now open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays 11am-3pm.

Please note: The Library will be closed on Monday, February 15th for President's Day.
New Service: Chetco Book Box Subscriptions

Beginning in February, the library is launching a new service: Chetco Book Box Subscriptions!

When you sign up for a Book Box Subscription, you create a profile of your reading interests, and our librarians hand-pick a monthly selection of books or audiobooks that you can pick up at the library. You can also choose to have your Book Box mailed to you.

These items check out just like regular library materials. You have three weeks to read or listen to them and return them to the library. If no one is waiting for the items, they will automatically renew twice for a total checkout period of nine weeks.

Book Box Subscriptions are available for adults, teens, and children. You can choose to receive three, five, or ten hand-picked titles a month. Each month’s Book Box will also include a fresh bookmark and free copy of BookPage Magazine to help you find your next great read!

If you love librarian-recommended reads, want to expand your reading list, or just want to limit how frequently you visit the library in person during the COVID-19 pandemic, this service may be right for you!

Sign ups are now available. If you would like to receive your first Book Box in February, please sign up by Friday, February 5th. If you sign up after that date, your subscription will begin the following month.
