Quiet winter...

Playin' With My Gnomies!

Clearly, I'm fixated on making gnome cards (thanks Peg!).  Here's this week's cutie.

Another Z-fold with a fun sentiment that came with the 6x6 paper pack.

Winter Blue Florals

I'm at an end to my winter themed cards but wanted to play with a new Alt&New grid die I got this week.  I envisioned a monochromatic background with layered images on top.  I'm not really into flowers at this time of year, but painting them in blue shades felt like I was keeping to a winter vibe.

The first card is 2 of the 3 flowers I stamped and painted.  I found a diecut sentiment already cut and never used in my stash and the color worked great!  I also found a large leaf die from FSJ that worked great to quickly watercolor and cut apart.
With only 1 flower leftover and a section of leaves, I couldn't let it go to waste.  The flower was too small (I felt) to mount onto the card front, so I diecut a couple of scallop squares (Stampendous) and affixed them at a diagnonal.  Just that small addition filled in the card front nicely.  A simple sentiment and pearls added finishing touches.

Valentines Day Card

Right about now, I make cards specifically for Valentine's Day although I don't actually give any other than to my husband.  It's nice to have a little stash and my fun challenge is to make them to use throughout the year without them screaming leftover Valentines Day cards.

This card, of course, is specifically for Valentine's Day and I used some Authentique papers from a few years ago.  I used Tim Holtz cupid and heart dies, a Catherine Pooler lattice die, and some candy hearts images and dies from FSJ.

Have a pleasant week!

XOXO
