Hello Steelheaders, better things are ahead for this year. Travelers Cafe said they would be able to accommodate us for the membership meeting, February 16th. So as of now, we are going to have the meeting. Social hour at 6 pm. meeting starts at 7 pm.
We have an important meeting this month, elections, and the Big Fish awards. Lots of officers and board members need to be filled. The election committee members are Franks Smith (269) 908-6577 and Dave Haulman (269) 274-4504.
Denny Knoll will be speaking this month on fishing Erieau Canada, also giving out the Big Fish awards for 2020. Be sure to attend. I hope everyone has a great 2021.

Not much is going on yet on the hard water. I fished Higgins two weeks ago, only 4-5 inch perch all day, ice was 4-5 inches.
Closer to home:
Bristol: north end 50 yards out from stream feed to the lake 3-4 inches of ice, gills.
Long: northeast of boat launch, on incline break for gills, west end for crappie, 6-8 ft.
Fine: East of the boat launch on the incline and closer to shore gills, tip-ups for pike.
Marble: South of the launch at the first point 10-20 ft incline crappie.
Gull: in the South bay, at the ends of the docks and in the bay for gills, tip-ups for pike, some smelt starting to be caught in evening. 4-5 inches ice.,
Sherman: gills during the day, crappie at night seem to be in shallower water now; perch are in pre-spawn.
