Notes From The Chair
Kathryn Siddle, Bike Lodi Chair
Welcome 2021!

I know it’s easy to say we want life to go back to “normal,” but I’m not sure things will ever be quite the same. Therefore, Bike Lodi is planning and adapting for 2021. Bike rides will continue to be a wonderful way to see our area. We will promote and advocate for improved planning and infrastructure and work to shape events and local activities to keep everyone as safe as possible. You have our commitment to continue to make Lodi a Bike Friendly City. In 2021, we will focus on a public awareness campaign emphasizing our bike friendliness and sharing the road. Keep your eyes open for the installation of the first Bike Repair Station in town (tremendous thanks to Andy Grutman and Anita Herman, and Kandy Vaccarezza for storing the equipment) and for more bikes on the road!

Happy pedaling!

Why Do Communities Need Quick-Build?
California Bicycle Coalition (CalBike) recently shared strategies to meet public demand for safe bikeway networks affordably, quickly, and inclusively, in months instead of years. Read more about the reasons CalBike loves quick-build. No excuses not to build protective bike lanes!
E-Bike Purchase Incentives
Electric bikes (e-bikes) continue to gain popularity as people look to bicycles for transportation. Contemplating a purchase? They're not cheap. The California Bicycle Coalition (CalBike) recently shared four ways to obtain financial assistance to help with purchases.
