We're back with our first edition for 2021and it's probably an understatement to say that the prospects for boating this year are looking good.

Speaking to boat dealers, they're hanging out for good used stock with boats moving fast and prices holding up well. And reports we're receiving from boatbuilders generally is that forward orders have never been better.

I heard somewhere recently that pre-Covid Australians were spending around $50 Billion annually on overseas travel and holidays, I don't know whether that's right or not but, with the current limitations on overseas travel, if even half of that amount was spent here over the next 12 months then it would certainly be good for the country.

Obviously there's still many doing it tough and we feel for them, but there does appear to be light at the end of the tunnel and hopefully 2021 will see us get back to some sort of normality, whatever that new-normal is.

In the meantime, a good mix of news in this edition so, no matter what your area of interest in marine is, sit back, browse through and enjoy the read.

Cheers, see you out on the water
