In an effort to distract myself from the tropical vacations still happening (it's still a pandemic?) and LA's winter at the beach (I miss you), this week’s edition is your guide to getting excited about hitting your local slopes for the weekend. Not that I’m doing that either, but a girl can live vicariously through her newsletter. For those of us with access to nearby mountain ranges, embrace the subfreezing temps in these extra cozy, during and après-ski styles.

The Loungewear.
Bundle up for your drive to the slopes in your chicest loungewear and a classy coat. You don't need to be in St Moritz to make this feel like a bougie occasion.

The Fair Isle Sweater.
Once you've found the snow, it's time to break out your fair isle sweater—because when else will you? It's a classic winter pairing for true-blue denim, shearling layers, and acutally-cute snow boots.

The Ski Gear.
Quality snow gear is insanely expensive, so when it comes to building your ski or snowboard wardrobe, choose carefully. If I were to invest in a few pieces, I'd start with black base layers, black skinny snow pants (which you can wear with any puffer), white flare snow pants, a white belted coat, and perhaps a sleek jumpsuit. For more fun additions, shop vintage, try renting, and if you're really invested, splurge on a few designer accessories.

The Statement Pieces.
A bougie ski weekend isn't complete without an extra outfit. Top a pair of statement pants with your coolest puffer and some designer accessories (but don't be afraid to mix high and low).

The Playsuit.
I would book an Airbnb in the woods solely as an excuse to purchase a cozy playsuit like this one. Obviously, this is your indoor outfit, ideal for snuggling up by the fireplace with a warm drink and good read in hand... dreamy.
