...more fascinating Trifari - KTF 1936 interchangeable Clipmate on a Bangle, with patent, and NYT Saks 5th Ave advert (it came in two sizes, and prices) - a great resource for small clipmate collectors... here are three Trifari Philippe brooches showing the designer returning to his earlier ideas: 1)  the rare 1941 'as patented' Palm Tree and Moon, with coconuts (more commonly encountered in a 1948 revival, with post-sterling signature stamp in a circular plaque - also on site, and linked to)... 2) 1948 Philippe Bee pin, dated from the circle plaque signature, revisiting the original 1941 patent design (an example of which is also linked)... 3) Empress Eugenie 'Romantique' swirl pin clip, reviving in 1947 a 1940 patented design, now in Trifanium, with more precise casting, selling for $36... like the 'Renaissance' pins of 1948 (eg the Heart. and Musical Clef pins), these later revisitations are all easily distinguishable from the earlier pre-war productions, by: the later simplified sterling and post-sterling Trifari mark; the use of clasps on the pin clips; and the lack of reference, in the marks on the 1947-48 pieces, to the now-expired 1940-41 design patents...
