WA Local Government Areas declared COVID High Risk

Public Health have declared a number of Local Government Areas (LGA’s) in Western Australia and premises in New Zealand as high-risk.

Travellers who have spent time in a high-risk area or premise in the 14 days before arriving in Tasmania are not permitted to enter Tasmania, unless approved as an Essential Traveller.

Reminder - Masks Mandatory at Airports / Aircraft

The Direction from Public Health (effective from 22/1) sets out the mandatory requirement to wear face masks in Tasmanian Airports and Aircraft. Direction is available here: Airports and Airfrafts No. 1.

Note - Fossey River Rest Area temporarily shut

A power outage is currently affecting the Fossey River Rest Area, impacting lighting and water pump services at the site. The site is estimated to be without power until tomorrow some time, and given safety concerns, the site will be closed until power is restored.
