Today's newsletter is all about the second general release from the Ardnamurchan distllery in Argyll, AD/01.21:01. Our allocation is here right now, and will go on sale at tea time today.
If you're even remotely interested in whisky you'll surely be aware that over the past year or so demand for unicorn drams has gone off the chart. We've found managing such demand somewhat tricky, So here's our handy guide to making the whole exciting, frenetic, ridiculous process as straightforward as possible, for you and us.
DO
- Make sure you have already set up an account on our website.
- Make sure your password is up to date. If you need to reset it, do so before teatime.
- Make sure you know which delivery option you're going to use.
- If you're buying other products, put them into your basket beforehand, or make a separate order for them.
DON'T
- Please don't phone or email us to reserve a bottle, as we're not taking reservations. Or to ask when teatime is.
- Please don't sit on your browser repeatedly hitting refresh. It just slows the website down for everybody. And we're rate limiting IP addresses...
- Grumble at us on social media if you miss out. We're far too polite to grumble back, but, rather like S Claus Esq., we do keep a list.
REMEMBER!
- Our E-commerce software doesn't reserve you a bottle just because it's in your basket.
- If you receive an email saying your bottle is "On Backorder" it may be out of stock. Please wait for a further status update.
- If you miss out this time round, there will be further batches of Ardnamurchan released later in the year. Or try a different whisky. There are so many exciting things happening in Scotch right now, there's always another bottle just around the corner.

PS In our last email we suggested that the first release of Torabhaig would be with us today or this week. That was an error. The official launch date is February 19th.
