Stanford researchers identify two factors in experience of otherworldly phenomena
Recent Ph.D. student Kara Weisman ('19), together with Stanford anthropologist Tanya Luhrmann and a large, multi-disciplinary team of researchers, have identified two factors that shape people's spiritual experiences across diverse cultural and religious settings. Their paper, "Sensing the presence of gods and spirits across cultures and faiths," was published this week in PNAS.
