As of January 31, Chicago has moved back to Phase IV COVID Regulations with updated mitigation guidelines. These changes further lift mitigations from Chcago's Phase IV Tier One plans enacted Jan 23.

The following list reflects only the changed rules from Phase IV Tier One to Phase IV (see full guidelines here):

Bars and restaurants

  • Maximum of six patrons at indoor or outdoor tables
  • The sale of alcohol must end at 11pm, including alcohol sold for on-site consumption
  • Delivery or Carry-Out and establishments must close for on-site service at 12am

Event Venues

  • Maximum of six patrons at indoor or outdoor tables
  • Alcohol service must end at 11pm, and patrons must be off-premises by 12am

Health & Fitness Centers

  • Indoor capacity 40%, no more than 50 people in one area
  • Group classes 15 or fewer, within 40% capacity
  • Face coverings required at all times
Performance Venues
  • No limit on operating hours

Retail Stores

  • No limit on operating hours
Personal Services
  • No limit on operating hours
