Associate Professor Simukai Chigudu wrote a Long Read for the Guardian, bringing together his family history, the legacies of colonialism in Zimbabwe and Britain, his experiences as one of very few Black academics at Oxford and his involvement with the Rhodes Must Fall movement.

Ensuring vaccines for all
Our Head of Department Professor Diego Sánchez-Ancochea and former Head Professor Frances Stewart were among leading UK academics in development studies to sign a letter to the Guardian calling on the government to ensure an equitable global supply of COVID vaccines. 

A new book by Nikita Sud The Making of Land and the Making of India, has now been published with Oxford University Press. The book will be released globally in February.
