STS professor Emily Merchant and Classics professor Colin Webster are among six assistant professors in the College of Letters & Science who have been awarded 2021 Hellman Fellowships for early-career faculty.
Merchant is a historian of science and technology in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries and a faculty coordinator for the DHI Transcollege ClusterDNA, Race, and Reproduction. Webster researches science, technology and medicine in Greco-Roman antiquity, and coordinates the DHI HumArts Cluster Early Science Workshop.
