If only we're brave enough to be it.” —Amanda Gorman

Epics are written one word at a time. There is no fast-forward button. There is only the task of showing up at the page until the work is done. For seven years, Narrative 4 has been writing a story about the power of connectedness and in an increasingly divided world, our work has never been more necessary.

Psychologist Dan McAdams defines the concept of “narrative identity” as the story you tell about your own life. According to his research, the story you tell defines the life you live. Countries, cultures, and even nonprofits have their own narrative identity. Ours remains grounded in the vision that one day every young adult in the world will lead with empathy.

As we move from start-up to scale-up, our staff has nearly doubled to meet the growing need for our work in schools and beyond. We invite you to get to know the newest members of the Narrative 4 family. Their enthusiam, expertise, and insight are vital to our growth and global expansion. We look forward to the challenge of doing the work and writing our next chapter alongside you.

Author Ru Freeman is leading our efforts to secure a network of 300+ artists in the next three years. Members of the N4 Artist Network will push change forward and revitalize classroom learning with their extensive web of connections, their inspirational works, and their physical and virtual classroom presence.
