January is for resolutions and February is for doing....
It's important to keep your common sense cap on!

January like every other year is always the busiest month on the books for cbPT. Lots of new years resolutions floating around and people excited for the year ahead. I'm busy not only prescribing exercise, but reminding my clients that being realistic, creating something that is maintainable, and being consistent is the key to long-term success. I have just sent out survey forms that will have 4 monthly reflections- this will hopefully guide and provide feedback to my clients as we move through the next  335 days of the year.

**Think: 3 workouts a week for 48 weeks of the year, will bring you much better reward, than 6 workouts a week, for 4 weeks of the year.

On Monday the 22nd of February we will be kicking off rotation #2 of cbPT 6-week bootcamp challenge for 2021.

This is a fantastic group environment to be apart of, with the philosophy of ' support those around you, while doing what you personally feel confident and capable of'. 

With huge differences in ability and levels across participants, it's my job as the trainer to show regression and progressions options for each exercise to ensure an inclusive group class.

Join me in-person here in Te Anau or online for a mix of Facebook LIVE + cbPT Training App workouts.

cbPT Weekly Learning Modules [1]: Basic Building Blocks, for Long-Term Success on Your Exercise Journey.

This 8-week learning module block is a great way to iron out bad behaviors, re-direct focus and learn what is really important on your exercise journey. 

How does Weekly Learning modules [1] work?:
  • 📚8 - weeks of learning modules, highlighting 8 different aspects that cover movement | nutrition | behavioural topics that are imperative for building a strong building platform to grow and progress your exercise journey off.

    🙌I am wanting to enrich you with good simple skills and behaviors to ensure long-term exercise adherence and positive health outcomes‼️

    🌱 One topic tackled every week, with Monday tasks to complete after reading content provided and relating that information to your own journey to date.
    🌱 Thursday lunchtime Facebook live Q + A sessions (12.30pm) to answer any topic related / task queries. You are able to pre-send in questions for me to answer during this time slot. 
    🌱 Sunday task/ reflection to critically Look back on the week and stimulate further thought patterns around the topic, and more specifically in relation to your exercise journey.
    🌱 The modules will be uploaded as PDF documents to a closed FB page for you to print off and fill in every Monday. The Q + A session is the available time slot I have put aside to answer questions relating to the TASKS only. These modules will / may stimulate more in-depth questions or encourage a deeper level of thinking. However, I will not be covering further context until later modules.
    🌱 The overall goal is to be able to successfully say you can confidentially and successfully perform each of the tasks at the end of the 8 weeks. 
The cost for the 8 modules and Q + A sessions each week is usually $85 Total. BUT, 
 Keep your eye peeled for a 'pay what you feel it was worth to you' of this service starting Monday 8th February. 
 
Over 60's Exercise Class- Te Anau
 
A very social and welcoming over 60's exercise class based in Te Anau that meets once a week for a little exercise and a lot of chat. All abilities catered for (chair-based --> frames and sticks --> standing exercises).
 
An exercise class where the older generation can work on;
🥳 Balance.
🥳 Hand- eye coordination.
🥳 Resistance training for muscle mass maintenance.
🥳 Cardiovascular fitness for heart and lung health.
🥳 This is a very SOCIAL group of men and women. Lots of chit chat + dancing to the good old songs of the 60s and 70s!
🥳 Often (actually Always) coffee will follow at a local cafe.
🥳 No commitment needed, just come when you can/ want too.
