 Heading through 2021, Buddings celebrates a decade of dedication to flexible childcare in Vancouver.
The company was incorporated in February 2011, and in February 2021, we're transitioning our legal status to a BC Benefit Corporation! Read about it on the blog.
Benefit corporations operate in a sustainable and responsible manner AND promote a public benefit beyond their business...
Buddings already distributes daycare spots with flexible technology, so families don't waste money on care they don't need...

Return of the Swap - Mar. 21, 2021

 COVID-19 cancelled several of our sustainability initiatives in 2020, including our semi-annual clothing swaps and our food pouch recycling program.
<-- In 2019, we collected and recycled more than 5,000 aluminium-lined plastic food pouches. The locally unrecyclable material went all the way to Ontario, to be remade into park benches!
As the pandemic continues in 2021, we can't wait for a cure before we confront climate change...
This month, we're so excited to announce the return of both campaigns! Bring your rinsed, empty food pouches to either Buddings for recycling AND start sorting for our spring swap!
Our clothing swaps have saved hundreds of families hundreds of dollars, and diverted THOUSANDS of usable children's items away from landfills, and into loving new homes!

The details are still being finalized, but here's what you can do now:
- Peruse your family's closets and set aside anything you won't be needing come spring
- Sort things by age - and please mark bags/boxes separately
- Get ready to bring it to Buddings after Feb. 21
- AND help us spread the word!
