Dear Saskatchewan Aviation Museum Members and Friends of the Museum,

We’re pleased to share news with you of the happenings at the museum.

50/50 Tickets!

Today we have launched online 50/50 ticket sales. Proceeds from this fundraiser will support the museum with our mission to keep Saskatchewan and Canada’s aviation history alive. Tickets can be purchased via the webpage below.

https://saskaviationraffle.ca/

Tickets: 1 for $10, 5 for $20, 25 for $50
Draw Date: Apr 30, 2021
Prize: 50% of ticket sales

Please support this event and encourage your friends, relatives, and neighbours to purchase tickets. SLGA and the on-line platform require that you be IN Saskatchewan at the time of your ticket purchase.

We’re Hiring

The board’s strategic planning session last December identified the need for full-time administration staff. To support this a new position, executive assistant, has been created. This is a huge step for the museum as we evolve from relying on volunteers to run the entire operation of the organization to having the support of full-time administration staff.

You can check out the job posting on the Careers page of the museum’s website, www.saskaviation.ca. Applications will close on Monday, February 15, 2021. We invite you to share this job posting with those you think possess the necessary skills.

Ground Schools / Workshops

The museum is planning a number of training sessions for the spring. You can check out all the details and register online on the Events page of our website.
  • March 6         Tiger Moth Ground School
  • March 13       DHC Chipmunk Ground School
  • March 20       Basic Float Flying
  • March 27       Harvard MK IV Ground School
  • April 3           DHC Tracker Ground School
  • April 10         Glider Ground School
These sessions have limited seating due to COVID-19, so book early if you’re interested in attending. The courses will adhere to the COVID-19 restrictions including limitations on event size and any other restrictions in place at the time of the event. Social distancing and wearing a facemask are required when entering the museum.

Winners of Tiger Moth Rides

Individual and Family Members who renewed their 2021 memberships before December 31, 2020, were entered into a draw for one of two Tiger Moth rides. We're pleased to announce the winners are Gary Hardy and the Mike Laliberte/Selma McMahon family. They are now looking forward to warmer days and their ride!
