GGD Newsletter For February 1, 2021

I think I saw more articles about the stock market this past month than at any other time in recent memory. Now that we've all been thoroughly educated on topics like r/wallstreetbets, hedge funds, short-sellers, and short squeezes, perhaps that exposure will lead to a larger segment of the populace becoming more interested in investing and, better yet, early retirement! 

Although the happenings of the market were fun to read about, we did not personally participate in any of it. Instead, we continued to follow our simple but effective strategy to steadily build up our portfolio. I think we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

We saw some solid positive gains this month, 1.75% to be exact. This brings the value of our investment portfolio to 96.0% of our retirement number!
